About Me

If you are an adventurer and driven to learn all you can about the nature of consciousness, then you may have read about the many scientists who tell us we only experience a tiny fraction of the reality we live in. Our five senses are constrained to a certain set of parameters. In fact, these scientists are telling us that 99.9999% of what is really going on is totally hidden from us.

The perfect example is the way we translate vibration into what we hear. Humans hear the frequencies between 64 - 23,000 Hz, while a dog hears between the ranges of 67 - 45,0000 Hz. Cats can hear 45 - 64,000 Hz while a Porpoise has us all beat with a  whopping range of 75 - 150,000 Hz. What kind of a planet do you think they live on? My sense is that if we could inhabit their brains for just a few minutes we wouldn't even know what solar system we were in.

I am so fascinated by the nature of our reality, our consciousness and the place we live in that I've been researching many of the world's philosophies and religions for the past nine years. The things I've learned, the people I've met and the practices I've implemented (such as meditation) have all impacted my life profoundly. I feel as though my mind and heart have been opening and expanding to incredible new levels I never thought possible.

Now, I'm not going to pretend that I know what these images actually are, how they got into the wood, or what it all means. I don't think my logical 3D mind can possibly comprehend all that. All I know is what I am feeling inside when one of these images appears out of the wood before my eyes. Tingles, goosbumps, excitement, elation, euphoria, bliss, amazement, stupification (is that a word?), awe, inspiration. Many of the people I am sharing these images with report the same sensations... so this is all I have to go by when I sum up this experience with one word:  MAGICAL.

It is my intention to share these images with everyone I possibly can. This experience has fostered within me a deep appreciation of the enchanted fairy-tale world we live in. In my mind, trees are among the very foundation of life on this planet and I want people to have a greater understanding and deeper love for how integral they are for our survival. To love and to cherish our trees just may be the key to changing our world-view and beginning to love and cherish each other.

So now let me introduce myself... my name is Barbara Stephan and I live in Milwaukee, WI. I am definitely a fan of the creative life... I make my living as a professional singer, recording artist, songwriter, vocal coach, piano teacher and, nature sprite photography artist. I love music, nature, philosophy, art and science with a PASSION.  I immerse myself as much as humanly possible!

I love to travel and explore new places, people and ideas. I am excited to be alive at this time to experience all the changes going on - here and now - on this planet.

If you would like to have one or more of these images framed and sent to your home, PLEASE CONTACT ME. Currently, I am framing many of these with antique frames from my grandparent's estate and I'd be happy to quote you a price for any of them.

To make a comment or share something with me, or if you know of an area - perhaps where you live - and you think the woods are particularly "enchanted" then PLEASE invite me to come and take some pictures.

I would love to hear from you.
